Bird Breeder

A bird breeder may have lots of birds, or he may have their pictures exclusively. The herons of this type nest in large colonies and prefer to inhabit territories around salt and fresh water. In the wild, they feed on fish, frogs, some plants and invertebrate. Males are larger than females and have a puffy plume of feathers behind their heads. A bird breeder may have lots of birds, or he may have their pictures exclusively. To view a complete gallery of pictures, just click on Pictures for easy viewing!

The Great Blue Herons are the largest representatives of the Heron family in North America. At full height they reach over 3 feet and have a wingspan of over 70 inches. They have long yellowish bills tapering to a point at the end, gray upper bodies and necks that are streaked with white, black and brown. A bird breeder may have lots of birds, or he may have their pictures exclusively.
